Yes, our own class does research and organizes several of the videoconferences that we do over the school year, during every school year.
GEM is an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) in association with the United Nations Department of Public Information.  GEM was one of the first educational organizations to focus on developing global education programs for both schools and the local community. GEM was founded by educators and is directed today by educators, servicing schools and communities throughout the United States and abroad. Click here to go to their website.

Global Nomads Group creates education programs and media about global issues for youth. Using interactive technologies in the classroom, such as live videoconferencing and multi-media videos, young people from around the world learn about and discuss the global issues that affect their lives. "Adventure, Discovery, Learning: Education for Life" This is Kigulait Education Adventures motto.We are a participant in Kigluait Adventures Videoconference Special Event: Virtually Adopt a Sled Dog! Participating classrooms adopt their very own sled dog, collect data on the current health of the dog and then track them through the web for the remaining for the school year.

Center for Interactive Learning and Collaboration (CILC) supports videoconferencing and the use of other educational technologies to enhance teacher and student learning and results. Transforming learning through collaborative technologies
Vanderbilt University Virtual School develops videoconferencing programs for the purpose of integrating technology and learning. Working with K-12, universities, the community and educators, this virtual school connects students and teachers to experts in the field and facilitates collaborative leaning by connecting schools on various curriculum topics.
