The Cartel: A Conversation with Bob Bowden Videoconference

This was the first student-designed, student-organized and student-moderated conference by a CITVC class member.
	CITVC has always set up its own conferences along with our use of content providers, but they were always by the teacher, Ms. Kathleen Menake. This year Ms. Menake saw the potential in her students to take the reins and go it on their own. Matthew, CITVC student, was very interested in the current issues surrounding New Jersey education (public school corruption, tax dollars, education spending, charter schools, national politics, etc.) so he contacted Mr. Bob Bowden, who directed a film on education titled The Cartel. We watched the film in class and Matthew led discussions in class to prepare us for this videoconference held via Skype. To read more about Mr. Bowden, click here.
